Our Concrete Pits and Grates in Focus

Installing our concrete pits and grates on your property is the best way to ensure that you avoid storm and flooding damage, and we manufacture all our setups in our very own production factory in Smeaton Grange, just outside of Campbeltown in NSW.

We produce these pits and grates to suit a wide variety of different applications, landscapes and building configurations, spurred on by the concreting expertise of the Martin Group. They’re not only applicable for stormwater and drainage, but can be used for inspection, access ways, electrical uses, and junctions.

These detention control pits are built to your specifications, to suit the hydraulic drawing that has been drawn up for your site. We help to discover which optional riser rings, inlets and outlets are the correct choices for your setup.

Our pits are all built to standards where applicable, for BioSeptic to AS/NZS 1546.1 Small septic tank and AS/NZS 1546.3 Aerated Wastewater Treatment Systems. As with all of our products, we offer complete quality assurance, and follow strict procedures for construction, for our customers’ peace of mind.

So, how do we make our concrete stormwater pits? First off, we wet cast, with concrete that is reinforced with steel fibre, to ensure the material is strong and doesn’t shatter or break. The pit has two swift type levers for easy access, as well as knockouts surrounding the construction. The galvanised grates conform to the Australian standard AS3996.2006, and all edges of the concreting are smooth for ongoing safety.

Because these products are heavy, we offer delivery and loading on site with our crane if need be, which our customers often appreciate!

If you need concrete pits, then you need concrete pits. There’s no escaping it. You don’t want to avoid putting one in only to find your site flooding with one of Sydney’s notorious storms.

At Sydney Water Tanks we make sure that our customers have exactly the right underground concrete tank setup for their site – as informed by your hydraulic drawings. We can help point you in the right direction if you need these to be drawn up, too.

Our customers rely on the quality of our products, the expertise of our team, and the timeliness of our services. So if you are in the market for a new concrete pit ask us for a quote.
